Development of online heat treatment processing for 9Ni steel plates
Online heat treatment process was successfully developed at laboratory scale,which could shorten the processing of 9Ni steel plates to improve their surface qualities as compared with the conventional manufacturing processes.In the onliine heat treatments,most problems with the conventional processing could be solved,and energy consumption and product costs could be reduced by making the full use of the energies in casting and rolling for the subsequent rolling and heat treatments,respectively.By adopting this simplified processing technique,the mechanical properties of 9Ni steel plates can meet the JIS standard,and the toughness at -196℃ is between the toughness values made by using quenching and tempering (QT)and double quenching and tempering (QIT).
