Diagnosis tool for slab sizing press condition monitoring
This study proposes two methods for detecting developing faults for the slab sizing press in the hot strip mill via vibration signals.One of which is based on the unloading vibration signal;the other on the loading vibration signal.The first method,a so-called base-line method ,establishes designating feature parameters of normal vibration condition through long-term observations in unloading condition.The other method uses the vibration occurred at certain angles (or moments)during the pressing process to estimate the faults related to those particular moments.The experimental results have demonstrated these methods are useful tools in slab sizing press condition monitoring applications.
