Theoretical optimization of smelting reduction
Theoretical gas utilization ratio,smelting heat of iron ore,effective calorific value of coal and their influences on fuel consumption in smelting reduction were discussed.According to the relationship of gas production in smelting unit and reduction degree of iron ore in reduction unit,Corex process was optimized.It was proved that the most important measures to save energy in smelting reduction process are to use coal with suitable effective calorific value in smelting unit and to get an optimized metallization degree in reduction unit.Sticking problem of fluidized bed as reduction unit and methods to solve it was discussed.Low degree of reduction is the main problem,which results in high coal consumption.To use mixed fluidized bed is a feasible way in smelting reduction.
