An Adaptive Trigonometric Wavelet Method for the Logarithmic Integral Equation of Second Kind

To solve the logarithmic integral equation an adaptive trigonometric interpolatory wavelet method is developed in this paper. Based on the trigonometric wavelets, a fully discrete form of the integral equation is given. The effect of the numerical quadrature error on the whole discretization error is analyzed. The trigonometric wavelet compression property is proved to give an adaptive strategy which facilitates the iterative solution.
