An LMI Approach to D-Stability of Linear Discrete Time-Delay Systems

Two sufficient conditions for D-stability of linear discrete time-delay systems are proposed in this paper. These conditions are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities and can be solved efficiently with the LMI toolbox. The results are also extended to uncertain systems, where the parametric perturbations of linear discrete time-delay systems are norm-bounded. An illustrative example shows that this method is effective to check the robust D-stability of uncertain linear discrete time-delay systems.
