State Feedback H∞ Control for a Class of Switched Singular Systems

Based on common Lyapunov function approaches and convex combinations techniques, state feedback H∞ control is investigated for a class of switched singular systems in this paper. Firstly, a sufficient condition expressed by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is presented such that the system is asymptotically stable and satisfies H∞ performance. Then, both state feedback sub-controller and switching rule are designed. Finally, a simulation example is employed to illustrate the validity of the results. The results indicate that closed-loop system satisfies H∞ performance at each point in whole state-space through switching, although each sub-system doesnt satisfy the performance and even is not asymptotically stable.
