Flight Simulator Servo System Based on Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller

A novel intelligent controller based on brain emotional learning (BEL) for the tracking control of flight simulator servo system is investigated in the paper. The BEL is a bio-computational model inspired by the emotional learning mechanism in mammalians brain, and BEL based intelligent controller (BELBIC) fuses information of control variable, system inputoutput variable to realize the tracking control through adjusting its learning weights. Control strategy based on BELBIC instead of PI is constituted to implement the self-adapting learning and tracking control of flight simulator servo system. The experimental results of controlling a flight simulator made by ourselves show that the BELBIC is characterized by flexible structure, high computational speed, strong robustness in application of the engineering real-time system.
