Design and Development of the Measuring Instrument of the Sluicegate Opening with Wide Range Based on the Reed Switch Array
In hydrotechnics, the sluice gate opening is the most important parameter for the operation of the sluice gate. Now the sluice gate opening is generally got by the rotating encoder which needs to install a set of device that can change the linear motion into the whirling motion. However, the cost of installation is very high while the error of measurement is big. As to solve this problem, this paper designs and develops a new device for measuring the sluice gate opening which consists of three parts: scale composed by reed switch array, sliding bar, and intelligent processing circuit. It adopts the non-touching measuring which is convenient for installation and capable of measuring the sluicegate opening with wide range. Meanwhile, the adoption of absolute coding technology can realize the measurement of the absolute position of the sluice gate opening and the precision of measurement can reach the level of mm. This paper introduces the measuring principle, design and implementation of hardware and software of this measuring instrument and also discusses its antijamming method.
