Detecting Weak-Signals of Underwater Targets Based on Chaotic Oscillator

Considering that chaotic oscillator is very sensitive to initial value and parameters and is highly immune to noise, the principle of weak-signal detection based on chaotic oscillator is given after analyzing the hydro-acoustic signal. The simulation model of chaotic detection is presented and consequently the simulation experiment of actual detection data is implemented. The results show that the weak-signal of underwater targets can be detected by the chaotic detection method. Compared with the traditional detection method, the threshold of the signal-to-noise ratio of chaotic detection method is much lower.
