Synchronization Control of Chaos through Impulsive Coupling

A synchronization controller of impulsive coupling is designed to synchronize chaotic systems. Lorenz system is taken for example to demonstrate the method to be effective and feasible. The artificial simulation results show that the coupling intensity k and the impulsive interval d are the control parameters of the system. The maximum Lyapunov exponent of the system can be changed from positive into negative by appropriately adjusting the value of k and d , and consequently all the state variables of response system can be synchronized with those of target system, the orbit of the response system is exactly the same as that of the target system. The error signals approach zero smoothly and quickly.
