Numerical Investigations about a Host-parasite System with Immunity and Cross-immunity
In this study, host and parasite populations whose generations are non-overlapping are modeled by difference equations. The effects of immunity and cross-immunity on the system dynamics are investigated qualitatively by numerical simulations. Many forms of complex dynamics are observed in the immunized host-parasite system. Moreover, synchronous and asynchronous outbreaks of the parasite populations are also obtained, when cross-immunity is introduced to one host with two-parasites system.
