Combinatorial Control for Discrete-Time Variable Structure Systems with Time-Delay
A variable rate reaching law for discrete time variable structure systems with time-delay is introduced. A combinatorial reaching law which combines the variable rate reaching law and the exponential reaching law is formed. The special feature of the variable rate reaching law is that it is directly proportional to the norm of state vector and can result in a sectorshaped switching region. The stability at the origin can be expected. The new combinatorial control strategy overcomes the shortcomings of the two reaching laws and retains their merits. Thus the performance of system is improved.
