Application Study of Wire Net Isolator as Engine Mount
With the development of modern vehicle design towards lighter body, higher speed and larger power engine, its NVH characteristics are becoming more and more serious. In this paper, a kind of wire net isolator is first designed for and applied on a large power diesel engine as the mount systems isolation component. Through the introduction of the isolators frame, working theory and its static character, it is known that the wire net isolator has larger damping and can suppress impulse and resonance vibration effectively. The engines frame test was made on its control efficiency, which showed that Vibration Severity was lower than that of the former rubber isolator. The vibration test was also made on its vibration transmissibility. The results indicated that wire net isolator could isolate and reduce the engine vibration effectively. So the wire net isolator not only can adapt tough circumstance, but also is a better engine-mount isolator. It can be used as engines mount isolator.
