PI Control of Four-Phase Switched Reluctance Motor Drive
The paper presented the developed fourphase 3kW Switched Reluctance motor drive with the PI rotor speed closed-loop control. The system components, including the motor structure, the main circuit of the power converter and the block diagram of the controller were described. The photographs of the motor, the power converter and controller device were also presented. The principles of the rotor speed closedloop control based on PI control strategy were given. The tested results of the developed prototype were also given with the rotor speed curves at starting under the different given rotor speeds, and with the phase current waveforms under the different rotor speeds. It was shown that the developed prototype has the excellent performance.
