Improvement of Control Precision for Piezoelectric Actuators With Support Vector Machines
Due to the inherent hysteresis nonlinearity of piezoelectric actuators, the tracking control precision is limited in the open-loop system. In this paper, a hybrid approach associated the Preisach concept with support vector machines (SVM) to identify and predict the nonlinear behavior of piezoelectric actuators is brought forward. Preisach concept is used to construct mesh nodes in the Preisach plane and determine the final output displacement of piezoelectric actuators. SVM is trained based on the mesh nodes and provides favorable generalization ability in the Preisach plane. Experimental results show that the proposed method is valid to improve the control accuracy of piezoelectric actuators.
