Least-squares Estimates for General Fuzzy Number Data
In this paper, the least-squares estimates for general fuzzy number outputs is discussed. Similar to traditional least-squares method, a fuzzy analogue based on the distance defined on general fuzzy number space is developed. It is shown that the model exists a solution and the solution can be expressed analytically. In order to illustrate how the proposed method is applied to determine the fuzzy regression parameters and to evaluate the performance of the proposed model, a case is exemplified. The results from both theoretical and numerical show that the proposed method is efficient and practical.
