A New Anti-Collision Algorithm Using CRC for RFID Systems
Nowadays, the RFID system has been gradually applied in many fields. The RFID system comprises readers and tags. A reader communicates with tags through a shared wireless channel. Because the tags can not recognize between their each others, when more than one tag transmits their data to the reader at the same times, the mixing signals lead to collide and the reader can not identify what it received. Therefore the tag collision is a serious problem in the identifying process. Generally the RFID system implement two kind of anti-collision method, one is binarytree algorithm and the other is ALOHA algorithm. The former split the tags with 0 or 1, which the tags choose randomly, after several choosing steps, all tags can be split. This method is simple and feasible, but spent much time. The latter one make use of the channel allot method in the network. Similarly, this method can not estimate the time needed to interrogate, because the tags compete the channel at random. This paper presents a new method using the information stored in the tags to drop the colliding probability and improve efficiency of identification process.
