On the Variable Structure Control for Automotive Anti-Lock Braking Systems
The‘boundary layer method was considered as a kind of commonly and effective variable structure control for automotive ABS. Although the `boundary layer method may weaken the chattering of the system, the merit of robustness of variable structure control is eliminated at the meantime. In view of this shortcoming, an improved exponential approach law of variable structure control method is proposed, which has the merit of the small chattering and good robustness. Simulation study is performed to variable structure control system adopted the improved exponential approach law for automotive ABS. And the simulation results illustrate that the method is effective to automotive ABS control.
