Control and Schedule Co-design for Networked Control Systems—a Vary Period Approach
In this paper, we investigated the control and schedule co-design for networked control systems (NCSs) with multi-loop sharing network resource. A dynamic scheduler based on feedback and prediction mechanism was proposed. The scheduler allocated network resource by adjusting the sample period of each loop according to the current network run condition. So, the NCS adopted such scheduler was a vary-period system and we presented that it could be equivalent to a discrete system with parameter uncertainties by using algebra transformation. Then, a method for designing state-feedback controller was given by LMIs to guarantee the robust stability of the vary-period NCS. Furthermore, a numerical simulation was used to validate the effectiveness of our schedule and control methods.
