Design of Robust AQM Controller Based on Sliding Mode Control Method for DiffServ Networks
For DiffServ networks, a Adaptive Queue Management (AQM) controller is designed based on the nonlinear Fluid flow model and Integrated Dynamic Congestion Control (IDCC) scheme. Because of modeling uncertainties, time varying parameter fluctuations and external disturbances, a robust controller based on Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is adopted for two types of service (premium and ordinary service). Especially for ordinary service, an algorithm is designed to compensate input delay which is not considered in many other approaches. Simulation results demonstrate that this method enables the queue length to trace the reference value quickly. Consequently the proposed scheme gets good control effect.
