ANN-Inversion Governor Controller with Speed-Droop Characteristic
Present nonlinear governor controllers can not consider the speed-droop characteristic of conventional governor controller, but this characteristic is very important for practical power engineering. In the paper, a combined output, or the linear combination of rotor speed and mechanical power, is chosen as the control output when designing nonlinear governor controllers. Under the combined output, there will be a definite proportion relation between the differences of rotor speed and mechanical power with their initial values. If this proportion is assigned as the speed-droop, the proposed controller will be able to consider the speed-droop characteristic. Meanwhile, the proposed nonlinear controller is designed based on the ANNinversion method, which can realize the exact linearization of the controlled governor system without knowing systems accurate parameters and operating states. Finally, the simulation results based on PSASP also demonstrate the validity of the proposed controller.
