Research on Methods for Image De-Noising
It is necessary for digital image to be preprocessed before being used for analysis since the edge and minutia in noise may lead to difficulty in the following image process, such as edge, detection, image segmentation and image registration. So preprocessing is one of the essential topics in image processing, which can greatly improve image quality. Image de-noising is one of the most popular technologies in dealing with image processing. There are several kinds of noises in practice, and there are also many corresponding methods to remove these noises. The methods are summed up and presented in this paper. The advantages and disadvantages of different methods are also given.
