Hybrid Gene Expression Programming Algorithm Based on Parallel Taboo Search

By the strategy of exerting advantage and avoiding disadvantage respectively, hybrid GEP algorithm includes many advantages, which can effectively improve the efficiency of the algorithm and offers more effective solution to the difficult problems of technology and engineering fields. This paper makes the following contributions: (1) Revises the gene structure of the traditional GEP, and improves its application domains. (2) Proposes Parallel Taboo Search(PTS) algorithm, which is based on traditional Taboo Search. (3)Proposes HybridGEP-PTS algorithm, which combines classic GEP and PTS. (4) Extensive experiments show that the precision of the function model found by the HybridGEP-PTS is improved 4.19%-7.93% compared with classic methods.
