Sliding Mode Control for a Class of Uncertain Discrete Time-Delay Systems

This paper considers the sliding mode control problem for a class of uncertain discrete-time systems with delay. A sufficient condition is given for the design of the sliding mode surface. A design strategy is then derived for the hitting control. One of the proofs makes use of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, and the condition is expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities.
