Modeling and Simulation of Induction Motor Vector Control System Based on PSIM
Based on the mathematical model of the Induction Motor(IM), a vector control system model of IM has been established in PSIM/SIMCAD. The system functional modules, such as vector controller module, phase voltage module, coordinate transform module, SPWM module, speed controller module, etc. have been modeled respectively. By the organic combination of these modules, the control system model of IM can be established easily. A PI controller is adopted in the speed loop and a vector controller is employed in the current loop. The model validity has been testified by the simulation results ,to which control strategies can be applied to testify their feasibility. This novel method offers a new approach for designing and debugging actual motors.
