The Simulation and Experimental Research on Two SVPWM Patterns of Frequency Control System for Induction Motors

The simulation model of a SVPWM pattern frequency control system for induction motor, which works under the V/f const mode, is built up in this paper. And the simulation results of two usually adopted SVPWM patterns are compared. Then the real comparison experiments are conducted on our testing platform, and the experiment result is presented. The analysis of output voltage and current curves indicates that the 7-segment pattern is able to lower the motors low-frequency torque ripple, while the 5-segment pattern is able to decrease the high-frequency switch loss.
