Destination Integrated Tourism Service Supply Chain Management System Based on SOA
To overcome the architectural and operational limitations of DMS (Destination Marketing System), destination integrated tourism service supply chain management system (DITSSCMS) is proposed as the supporting operations management system. The structural model of destination integrated tourism service supply chain is investigated. A DITSSCMS architecture based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is established. Customizable operations management systems are provided to the tourism service suppliers through ASP model at low cost. Full-scale ecommerce functions of DMS including online reservation, customization and delivery management of the integrated destination tourism products are supported through real time operations information integration. Public and private cooperative establishment and operations mechanism of DITSSCMS is also discussed. Supported by DITSSCMS, organizations of the destination tourism service supply chain were integrated as a coordinated holistic system in order to accomplish integration of the destination tourism service resources and improvement of the competitiveness of the individual firms, the supply chain and the destination as a whole.
