Optimal Disturbance Rejection for Discrete-Time Systems with Control Delay
A linear discrete-time control system with control delay affected by additive disturbances with known dynamic characteristics but unknown initial conditions is considered. The problem is to reject the disturbances in an optimal fashion based on a dynamic output feedback. By using an equivalent transformation, the system with control delay is transformed into a nondelayed system formally. The existence of feedforward and feedback optimal control law is proved. An optimal dynamic output feedback controller is designed, which does not depend on the unknown initial conditions of the disturbances. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the design approach.
