Optimal Control for Discrete Time Bilinear System with Sinusoidal Disturbances

For discrete time bilinear systems with sinusoidal disturbances, optimal control problem is considered. Through the feedforward and feedback control, the paper damps the disturbances in optimal fashion. The algorithm is based on a new successive approximation approach (SAA). Original optimal control problem is transformed into a sequence of nonhomogeneous linear two-point boundary value (TPBV) problems. The optimal control law consists of accurate linear terms and a nonlinear compensating term that is the limit of the adjoint vector sequence. Through finite-step iteration process, a suboptimal control law is obtained. The validity and effectivity of the presented optimal control law are investigated by numerical simulation.
