GA Solution for Task Oriented Virtual Enterprise Partner Selection

To incorporate the task process characteristics, a task oriented VE partner selection approach and a GA (Generic Algorithm) solution strategy is proposed. A task process modeling approach based on AON (Activity on Node) network technique is discussed. Defined as the measurement of the value contribution of a subtask to the VE overall task, subtask value ratio (SVR) is also deemed an important basis for subtask undertaker selection. A task oriented partner selection decision model was formulated as a multicriteria integer programming problem that incorporates the independent and interdependent properties of the subtasks in order to find the best partner combination facilitating the global optimum performance of the overall task process. A GA solution strategy is designed to solve the multi-criteria integer programming problem. An example was given for illustration. The research can provide better decision supports to VE establishment and management.
