Modern Logistics System Based on ITS
To improve the efficiency and service level of logistics system, the integration of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and logistics system was studied which are both promising industries in China. Based on an analysis of the characters and requirements of modern logistics and an introduction of the functions of the ITS subsystems, the possibility and necessity of the integration of the two systems was analyzed and a framework model of the integrated system was proposed with its work flow expounded. This integration can not only improve the logistics service level but also make more use of ITS.
