A STUDY ON MULTIPERIOD SUPPLY CHAI NETWORK EQUILIBRIUM MODEL
Considering the long-term development of business, a multiperiod supply chain network equilibrium model that consisted of manufacturers, retailers and demand markets was presented. In this model, the decision-makers have sufficient information about the future and seek to determine their optimal plans that maximize their profits over the multi-period planning horizon, and the inventory is the link that connects the current period with the next period. The model aims to investigate the interplay of the heterogeneous decision-makers in the supply chain in a dynamic setting, and to compute the resultant equilibrium pattern of product outputs, transactions, inventories, and product prices. In each period, the independent decisions of manufactures, retailers and demand markets as well as their interaction were analyzed. The variation inequality of different tiers was constructed, the economic interpretation was given, and the multi-period supply chain network equilibrium model was obtained in the end. A numerical example is provided to illustrate how such multi-period supply chain problems can be solved in practice. Equilibrium outputs, product transactions, inventories and prices derived from the numerical example would be helpful for enterprises in supply chain.
