WIN COMPETITIVENESS BY INTEGRATING THE SUPPLY CHAIN:CASE STUDY ON AMAZON.COM
With so many world famous E-Commerce companies, such as Ebay, Amazon and Bertelsmann entered China’s market, China is going into the E-Commerce age. More and more China’s companies pay attention to the Internet, they hope to take great advantages of Internet. However, almost all the companies facing the low profit and no core competition, specially the factor of logistics and inventory management become the big bottleneck for them. Amazon creatively design the SSOF(Self Service Ordering and Fulfillment) business model, it provides the capability for merchants selling on the Amazon.com Marketplace to obtain the benefit of fulfillment by Amazon including all the superior performance of receive, store, pick, pack, ship and customer service. This paper is an exploring case study, deeply analysis Amazon’s SSOF model and the totally solutions. With our summary: Integrating the Supply Chain is the useful method to improve profits and competitiveness, SSOF model would be the good solution for Ecommerce companies to integrate their Supply Chain.
