WHICH R & D INVESTMENT BEING THE MOST BENEFICIAL TO TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
R&D investment and Patent activity are the important index while estimating the input and output of the technology innovation, but the quantitative analysis of the related input and output of R&D funds and the patent are scarce in China. Through the regression method of Dummy Variables, we gives an empirical analysis to input and output of R&D funds efficiency in different fields, of which the related data are issued by the National Bureau of Statistics of China and China Science and Technology Statistics from 1991 to 2005. The result shows that if the index is patent application quantum, the R&D efficiency of universities is much higher than the science and technology institutes or large and medium sized enterprises. So the government should make the reasonable decision for the full use of limited R&D funds to improve the technology innovation level.
