GRID TECHNOLOGY’S METAPHOR FOR ORGANIZATIONAL NETWORK: VALUE GRID THEORY AND ITS APPLICATION TO ZHESHANG’S ORGANIZATIONAL INNOVATION IN CHINA
How to improve the customization degree and dynamic value creation capability of traditional value creation networks by reorganization and redesign? Grid, so-called 3rd www technology, consists of meaningful metaphors for organizational networks’ innovation. Based on the meaningful metaphors of grid technology for organizational networks and modularity theory, this paper puts up with a new concept and then the innovative theory——value gird, to redesign traditional value creation networks to improve the networks performance of value creation. The paper constructs the networks structure and dynamics of value grid following grid and modularity methods. At last the paper applies the value-gird theory to a case study of Zheshang organizations, which are representatives of China’s SMEs, newly heatedly discussed in both academic and practical circles.
