Study and Application of Simulation Technology Combined with Fire Evolution and Evacuation for Large Gymnasium
For the purpose of estimating the course of fire evacuation in large gymnasiums with high fire risks, crowded people and complicated routes more objectively, the simulation technology combined with fire evolution and evacuation had been developed. The interface of fire and evacuation simulation would be designed in the model, based on the influence of smoke temperature, CO concentration and extinction coefficient in a fire condition on human behavior. The dynamic changes of walking speed, route choice and mental state could be caught out by the automatic reading of fire data during the simulation of a fire evacuation. Through the method case study on a certain gymnasium of Olympic Games showed that the effect could be reflected by the time-varying fire smoke parameters, especially, local jamming and uneven efficiency of routes. From the simulation, the visual and tried evidences would be provided for the safe evacuation during the fire emergencies in large gymnasiums.
