Possibility of Reducing the Fire Risk by Using PVAc Adhesive for Domestic Furniture and Interior Decoration in a Building Room
A study has been performed to elucidate possibility of reducing the fire risk by using a PVAc adhesive for domestic furniture and interior decoration in a building room. To characterize the effect of a PVAc adhesive, filter paper sheets permeated with PVAc adhesive was adopted and performed downward flame spread experiments. In order to discuss detailed mechanisms of the flame spread, thermogravimetry (TG) was performed. In the TG experiments the pyrolysis temperatures and mass loss ratios of the test pieces are measured and analyzed. The results show that PVAc adhesive is effective to reduce fire risk.
