Analysis for Natural Disasters Insurance Risk Based on Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation

In this paper a mathematical model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of natural disasters insurance risk is established, and then the set of evaluation factors is gained by grading the degrees of natural disasters insurance risk. The areas to be evaluated are divided by provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. The evaluation factors include the fatalness of disasters of geology, earthquakes, floods and typhoons, the engineering defense capability, the population density, the gross domestic product per capita, and the fixed assets investment per unit area. With the use of the established model, a comprehensive evaluation and quantitative analysis is conducted on the natural disasters risk degree for each provincial region; and the levels of natural disasters insurance risk are established. The results are of significance for the risk decision-making by insurance companies, for the determination of insurance premium in different areas, as well as for the effective management of risk.
