Research on Emergency Response System for Urban Earthquake
It has been demonstrated repeatedly that a timely response for earthquake and macro-understanding of seismic disaster scenarios always play the key roles in earthquake emergency management and command. This paper introduces the structure and functions of emergency response system for urban earthquake (ERS) constructed on the basis of ArcView9.0, and the establishment of system database in Oracle 9i. Through the interface design, the consultative mechanism of seismic situation is embedded in ERS and meanwhile the estimation of seismic emergency levels can be made more rapidly based on the earthquake-influenced field and the spatial variations of seismic intensities. Furthermore, by using spatial analysis and visualization of GIS, ERS can illuminate the spatial variations of seismic catastrophe, which provide the supportive information for emergency command and post-earthquake rescue.
