Multivariable Stochastic Simulation of Design Flood in the Three Gorges Project
This paper predicts the four-variant joint probabilities of the flood on different combination of four Yangtze tributaries by using stochastic simulation technique The significant difference on design flood volume at the Three Gorges proves the necessity of risk analysis by applying present stochastic simulation technique and the traditional Pearson-Type 3 model.
