Risk Model for Predicting the Probability of Hazardous Total Inward Leakage of the Respiratory Protective Device in Public Outbreaks
Although the respiratory protective device may have the designed perfect protection against particular contaminants, there may be some inward leakage because of the poor quality of face seal in actual scenarios. The goal of this study is to construct the risk prediction model for the analysis of the probability of hazardous total inward leakage while the respiratory protective device is donned in public outbreaks. The results show that subjects donning the respiratory protective device for a long time may probabaly inhale a hazardous dose of particular contaminants. However, such a high probability of risk for respiratory infection is unacceptable and there is an urgent need for improving respiratory protective performance of the devices.
