Constitution and Properties of Virtual Public Sphere
This research investigated the constitution and properties of virtual public sphere based on the theories of Habermas as the frame of analysis. The researcher discovered that in a virtual public sphere, virtual communities as participants reach agreements via debate, discussion and non-debate with virtual settlements in the form of news/review, with BBS and blog as the media. The properties of virtual public sphere are mainly represented by its three constitutional elements, which includes free participants, horizontally multi-directional communicational media and agreement reached in plural discourses.
