Indirect Determination of Sulfate at Trace Levels in Waters by Flow Injection on-Line Sorption in a Knotted Reactor Coupled with Hydride Generation Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry
A simple and sensitive non-chromatographic approach for indirect determination of trace amounts of sulfate in natural waters based on its selective precipitation with Pb<2+> on the inner wall of a knotted reactor (KR), was developed for flow injection on-line sorption coupled with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HG-AFS). This method can provide novel alternatives for the indirect systems based on KR and sensitive atom spectroscopy to establish a series of novel methods for determination of environmental pollutants in natural waters.
