Analysis of Related Factors Influencing the Ratio of Industrial Products Sold Using Stepwise Regression
It is of great significance to collect the total sales revenue of industrial products and compute the ratio of industrial products sold. After collecting the related economic indicators to the ratio of industrial products sold in the statistical yearbook,the stepwise regression model was established by means of SAS REG procedure,and the two fitted regression equations,both the one which suppressed the intercept term and the one which included the intercept term,were created. Then the two equations were analyzed and the conclusion that the regression equation which included the intercept term was superior to another equation and true to the practical question was drawn. Finally,the relationship between the two highly related factors to the ratio of industrial products sold,the assets liability ratio and the number of times of turnover of circulating fund,were analyzed in detail. Moreover,the potential problems of the regression model were pointed out.
