Evaluation on the independent innovation capability for an enterprise based on DEA
Independent innovation capability (IIC) is an important approach for an enterprise to enhance core competence. Evaluation of independent innovation capability can provide a gist for an enterprise to improve innovation capability. This paper attempts to put forward a new method for independent innovation capability evaluation to help an enterprise improve its independent innovation capability. The primary objectives of this study were: (i) to construct an index system for evaluation;(ii) to present an evaluation method based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model. This method can eliminate differences of basic condition,and reflect subjective effort of an enterprise objectively. Relative effectiveness of independent innovation capability is judged by C<2>R model. Making use of project analyzes the reasons for non-effective Decision Making Unit (DMU). Using improved DEA model makes out the proportion of IIC augment for a relatively effective DMU to enhance independent innovation capability fatherly.
