Basic Study on Plastic Pyrolysis in Fluidized Bed with Continuous-feeding

Waste plastic is widely originated, rather various, much hazardous and difficult to dispose. Currently, a greater attention has been paid to the transforming the waste plastic into liquid fuel oil and gaseous fuel by pyrolyzing. The pyrolysis of several plastics was studied, Through the pyrolysis experiment on representative of major polymeric materials of the plastic in a fluidized bed reactor under nitrogen atmosphere condition, the influence of bed temperature on product yield of liquid and gaseous fuel and the distribution of gas composition were analyzed. The experiment demonstrated that every of plastic has its own special characteristic thermal pyrolysis temperature, But the amount of the yields of liquid with an increase in temperature after the bed temperature arrived at some value,the optimal range of pyrolysis temperature of individual polymers namely high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene polyvinyl chloride were confirmed in terms of the yield of liquid fuel producing. The gases were analyzed by gas chromatography. It was found that as the bed temperature was increased, the percentage of smaller gases increased. In this paper the essential discipline has been deduced on the given plastic pyrolysis in the fluidized bed,which will be help for waste plastics into liquid and gaseous fuel.
