Design of 600MW Air Cooled Double Exhaust Steam Turbine
Due to the lack of water in northwest of our country which is rich in coal, under the circumstances of energy structure of coal fire generation it is the only way to develop the air cooled steam turbines It has been listed into the 11th Five-Year-Plan by the state government to develop large scale air cooled steam turbines. Researching on air cooled steam turbine technology was started in 1960s in our country. Through the years of development, rich experience has been accumulated, especially the design technology of air cooled steam turbines. Along with the increasing demand of the environmental protection, the time for the development of high parameter and large capacity air cooled 600MW steam turbines is ripe to come. This paper describes the key technologies for the design of air -cooling 600MW steam turbine, focusing on the type of unit, the capacity, efficiency, last stage blade, exhaust device, system configuration etc.
