The Third Superharmonic Resonance of the Belt Driver Mechanism
The nonlinear vibration differential equation of the belt driver mechanism is established by means of Lagrange equation. According to the method of multiple scales for nonlinear vibrations the first approximate solutions and steady state solutions of the third superharmonic resonance of the system are obtained. Numerical analysis on the influences of the length, cross section area of the belt, excitation, detuning, damping and nonlinear parameters on the system are carried out. Some new dynamical phenomena are revealed.
