Life Assessment and Management of Easily Damaged Power Equipment Components
Some life assessment methods for easily damaged power equipment components are being presented, together with methods of Statistical analysis, tests for determining the type of life data distribution, ways of parameter estimation and how to calculate the mean life as well as the reliable life. Classification of failure consequences and functions of a life management system of easily damaged power equipment components are explained. A method for determining the replacement period of easily damaged components is given, accompanied by some practical examples. With this life assessment method and life management system, the replacement period of the components can be determined during their service stage, and therewith a scientific basis provided for maintenance and replacement, and especially for optimized planning purposes.
