DBC’s Advanced Pure Seawater Flue Gas Desulphurization Technology and Engineering Application in Power Station

Pure seawater flue gas desulphurization (SWFGD) technology was developed by Dongfang Boiler Group Co.,Ltd.(DBC), based on pure seawater’s nature character or alkalescence. SO2 in raw flue gas is efficiently removed in steel structure spraying empty tower, and acid seawater in absorber is discharged by means of gravity. Seawater as absorbent is fed by means of the combination of common pipe and individual pipe. For FGD seawater quality treatment, middle-level aeration in aeration basin is adopted primarily, with aeration in absorber used as accessorial means. DBC’s SWFGD technology has been applied successfully in 300MW boiler, and it has been proved that DBC’s SWFGD technology represents the state of the art in flue gas desulphurization. SO2 removal efficiency is more than 95%, FGD discharge seawater pH is more than 6.8, DO content is more than 5mg/l and COD increment is less than 0.20mg/l, in the case of 1300mg/Nm3-1700 mg/Nm3 SO2 concentration of raw flue gas.
